to the 30th
Cape Town International Kite Festival 2024!

This year the Cape Town International Kite Festival celebrates 30 years of bringing #HopeOnAString through its vibrant and colourful kites. Cape Mental Health’s flagship event since 1994, it is one of Cape Town’s most cherished events, raising awareness of mental health every October. It stands as a symbol of community strength and resilience and our shared journey towards well-being.

This October, Cape Mental Health invites all dreamers to let your kites glide among the clouds. Experience the endless possibilities that arise when your spirit soars and your dreams lift off, colouring the sky with brilliant shades of hope on a string whilst creating mental health awareness!

Join Cape Mental Health this October for the Cape Town International Kite Festival to raise funds that fuel the vital mission of providing essential, cost-free mental healthcare services and interventions to those who require them most. By investing in children and youth, we lay the foundation for the prevention of mental health disorders, empowering young people to unleash their full potential and pursue their dreams without limitations.

We need your kindness and
help to make a difference.

At Cape Mental Health, we firmly believe that every child and adult deserve the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of the challenges they may face. Children with disabilities, in particular, often confront unique challenges in their growth and learning, and our mission is to provide the specialised support they need to thrive.

As a non-profit organisation, Cape Mental Health offers services for persons living with an intellectual disability, those living with psychosocial disabilities, and those coping with various mental health conditions.

Whether you can contribute R100 or R10 000, your donation can make a significant difference to the lives of vulnerable children and adults. By donating to the Cape Town International Kite Festival, you will not only help us sustain our current programmes but also extend our reach to more children and families in need.

we can create a brighter future for these children and adults,
filled with hope, opportunity, and joy.
